Vineland seeks board of director nominations
Vineland Research and Innovation centre is currently seeking individuals to join its Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors consists of 12 members with a diverse mix of experienced business and industry professionals. The Board’s work is supported by three Committees in Governance and Human Resources, Finance and Audit and Business Development. The Board also receives guidance from two Advisory Councils, which support our reach with stakeholders and facilitate leading edge insights on science and innovation. The Board and its Committees generally meet four times per year and the Board holds a yearly retreat. Members of our Board serve as volunteers to advance Vineland’s mission and support our impact agenda. As a Board Director, you would be expected to prepare for, attend and conscientiously participate in Board meetings and participate fully in one or more committees. As a Board Director, you would also be an active participant and contributor in the annual Board evaluation process and the annual Board retreat.
Vineland's Board is seeking individuals with one or more of the following to submit a nomination:
- Business, academic or governmental experience
- Financial, legal, accounting or administrative experience
- Knowledge of the horticultural sector, e.g. scientific, technical, automation or business/marketing-related
- Experience on boards or in policy development • Leadership and network capabilities
- Knowledge of and commitment to Vineland’s vision and mission

The Governance and Human Resources Committee will review submissions and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for interview. The nomination process is conducted in strict confidentiality.
